Hello Dear,

I’m Dr BALARABA JOHN. I’m an educationist, psychologist, psychotherapist, neurodiversity and inclusion  advocate, speaker and author of the book, Destroy Boredom, Create Your Happiness.

Over the years, I have worked in a multidisciplinary team: as a counsellor; consultant, coach, mentor and community worker. I supported children, young adults, families, teachers, school administrators, health professionals and policy makers in covering issues linked with social determinants such as: education, neurodiversity, poverty, socio economic class, mental health, physical health and wellbeing.

My research interest focuses on social and developmental psychology, research methods in psychology, educational psychology, neurodiversity and inclusion. As a researcher, I utilise qualitative methodologies in understanding children, young adults, and families' experiential and behavioural outcomes to social, mental and psychological issues. I am passionate about finding innovative and culturally diverse approach to the educational inclusion of neurodivergent individuals, especially autism.

I obatined my PhD from Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom. My research uses Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) to explore parents' experiences of children with autism and their educational needs in Nigeria. I hold a Master of Science degree (MSc) in Research Methods in Psychology from Anglia Ruskin  University, Cambridge, United Kingdom, and Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Psychology and  Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Guidance and counselling both from the prestigious University of Lagos, Nigeria.

I am a Chartered Psychologist (CPsycol) with the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am a member of the International Society for Autism Research (INSAR), National Couselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and National Hypnotherapy Society..

I am the Principal Consultant at Cintabali Consults International, Founder and Convenor of E-Parent Professional Autism Network (e-PPA-Network), and a Consultant/Advisor to YoungNigerian.com.

I facilitate workshops on autism, neurodiversity, education, gender and wellbeing. I offer individual and group mentorship, coaching programs on personal development, education and career. I offer consultancy services to public and private sectors.

I truly appreciate your visit here! I would like to tell you that you are in the right place: whether you are here in search of a consultant, or a counsellor, or someone to speak to or speak at your event, or you want to order my book or make inquiries about upcoming events.
